Nearly 3 years ago, I wrote down a list of 50 life goals/dreams that I wanted to achieve in the next 10 years. The idea was to write out all the wildest, seemingly unattainable things that I always wanted to do. I pasted the list up on my wall. In the beginning, I used to look at the list all the time – eventually I forgot about it and it ended up under a pile of books in a dusty box somewhere when I moved house. The interesting thing about writing your goals/dreams out is that they actually start happening whether you are conscious of it or not. Of course you have to act on what you can control, but most times almost everything is out of your control. Here’s how it’s worked out for me:

One of the dreams was to play at the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts (dream #36). Another one was to play a gig with David Kramer (dream #40). Both of those dreams (in addition to many others) have come to FRUITION now. I played at the Baxter Theatre with David Kramer in August and now I’m playing at the 9th Cape Town Folk ‘n Acoustic Music Festival on the 7th Feb 2016 at Kirstenbosch. Best of all you can buy your tickets through Webtickets somme now (Big love Gavin Minter and Real Wired Music for the opportunity)!

I’ll be sharing the fruit alongside the giants Kahn Morbee [The Parlotones] – BlackByrd – Donovan Copley [Hot Water] – Farryl Purkiss – Manouche – Natasha Meister – Blues Broers – TouchWood – Rory Eliot [Plush] – Crimson House and Basson Laubscher!

People are always trying to shut down the dreamers – well I’m telling you, don’t be afraid to dream.

      1. Now that is good!! And HE most certainly is (do you find when you think you have reached the top of the mountain, He gives a little sigh – and the clouds move – and there is yet another even more gorgeous peak higher up?)
