That’s right, I’m doing my first house party with 3 of my contemporaries tonight at my aunt’s house.
So, What is the Share the Fruit Soiree?
Well, the main purpose of this event is two-fold.
One, Rozanne (my filmographer) needs some live footage for the doccie she’s doing on me and we both figured a more intimate setting will work perfectly (the footage so far is off the hazzle-basil!). It will be great to capture footage of some of my contemporaries and since they all share their own fruit so well, they are all fruit vendors in their own right. Thus in keeping with the theme of the film.
House gigs nowadays form part of the larger macro environment of the music “industry”, in that the lines are now beginning to be ever blurred between music listener/appreciator and artist. The divide between the two is seemingly a thing of the past, and is a relationship we should all want to foster respectively – because these relationships create career longevity among many other pluses. So we are hoping to create some dialogue with the audience as well, which will be facilitated.
