Soapmouth Pre-Production Session 1

On Thursday 8th September; Raynie and I went to NLR studio to record vocals for my solo music project Soapmouth. Going to studio is always daunting because it cuts out the dynamic atmosphere of performing live, there is no-one in the audience to bounce off; and as a result it taxes you – tremendously. Needless to say, Raynie nailed the rap on his song Anthem of High Philosophy and the first mix is sounding ill. I really love working with Raynie. Not only is his lyrical ability outstanding, but his conviction is inspiring. My takes on 3 of the songs I prepared are dissatisfactory, and this means I’ll have to go straight back to the drawing board and rework. Sigh. Well, we’ll see what happens.
